Outlined below are the coordinator positions for the Model United Nations project in Macedonia. Each has a brief description of the scope of work and responsibility. These are central staff positions that were discussed during the workshop in Skopje at the American Corner. The application deadline for these positions is October 4th. Logistics (One Position)
The logistics coordinator is responsible for coordinating all travel, meeting locations, conference locations and general logistics for the Model United Nations project. This includes making arrangements for delegate transportation, food, lodging and meeting reservations as well as making similar arrangements for central staff. The coordinator will be the primary point of contact for all venues and organizations in planning the Winter Selection Conference and the Spring Conference.
Substanative (Five Positions)
The substantive coordinator positions are responsible for the development of all substance relating to the Model United Nations Conference. This includes developing the Spring Conference program, identifying committees and issues to be addressed at the conference, developing committee rules and procedures, selecting countries and chair positions for the conference, researching issue areas and providing technical support to all participants as needed. One coordinator will be the primary communications contact for the delegates and participants prior to the conferences.
Finance (Two Positions)
The financial coordinator positions will be responsible for managing the budget, planning for financial expenditures throughout the fiscal year, collecting receipts, distributing payments, planning for long term financial sustainability and attending all Model United Nations related events.
